Earl J. Giese, age 86, of 23617 Hwy. K., Brillion, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
He was born June 23, 1914 in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late Charles and Theresa (Geiger) Giese. On November 13, 1946 he married Lorraine Clavers at St. Mary's in Brillion. Earl farmed in the town of Maple Grove most of his life. He enjoyed wood working, music and playing cards. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Brillion, the Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic Knights.
Survivors include his wife Lorraine; a daughter Marian (Michael) Schuh, Brillion; three sons, Roman (Sandra) Giese, Brillion; Gary (Kim) Giese, De Pere; Gerald (Barb) Giese, Brillion; eight grandchildren: Susan and Sandra Yassin, Michelle and matt Giese, Justin and Jessie Giese, Jonathon and Lucas Giese; one sister Cora (Arthur) Grall, Whitelaw, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Frelich, and a brother, Roman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Tom Long will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Kasson.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. He will be a parish prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
