Clinton J.R. Bohannon was born August 26, 1940, to Archie Bohannon and Alberta Bourrage Hickman Bohannon in Kemper County, MS.

He received his education from the Kemper County School System where he attended New Hope Grammar School in DeKalb, MS.

At an early age, he professed a hope in Christ at New Hope United Methodist Church in DeKalb, MS, where he remained a member until death.

On July 6, 1957, he first married Rosie Guynell Cole, the daughter of Henry "Brother" Cole and Juanita Cole, who is also a native of Kemper County, MS. Their union was blessed with three children, two daughters and one son. They moved from DeKalb, MS, to Jackson, Hinds County, MS, and lived there for several years.

He later moved to St. Louis, MO, in 1965, where he lived until his death.

On August 10, 1966, he secondly married Lucy Ann Houston, the daughter of Nathaniel Houston and Lodie "Red" Steele Houston, who was also a native of Kemper County, MS. Their union was blessed with seven children, six sons and one daughter.

He was also the father of four other children, all daughters.

As a whole, he was the father of fourteen children, seven daughters and seven sons.

He had been employed as a CDL Truck Driver in Jackson, MS; General Laborer at the Sheraton Hotel in St. Louis, MO; and his last employment was as a Steel Mill Foundry Worker at O’Hare Foundry Corporation in St. Louis, MO.

He died at the age of 74 on October 19, 2014, exactly six weeks after the death of his beloved wife, Lucy Ann, who died September 7, 2014.
