Peg came from a large family of brothers and sisters (Peters) in Brooklyn, NY. She married Bill (William) Tierney in 1940 and settled in Pompton Lakes, NJ where she raised four children, William (Jr.), Nancy, Ray and Jim (James.) She taught fourth grade at St. Mary's parish parochial school in Pompton Lakes, where she was beloved by all who knew her or were taught by her. She had a great sense of humor and was a very kind person.
