MRS. MARTHA. BROWN, Claimed By Death Rites Wednesday::
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m Wednesday for Mrs. Mary Martha Jones Brown Willie Dixon Brown, who died Monday at Archbold Memorial Hospital following a short illness. The services will be held at West Side Baptist church conducted by Rev. T. F. Callaway, retired pastor of First Baptist church and Rev. Kennedy Middleton, of Fairview Methodist church. . Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery and pallbearers will be Leonard and J.H. Johnson, J.B. Evans, Lloyd Stokes, Leonard Jones and Nimrod Taylor. Mrs. Brown was a native of Brooks county, Georgia, where she was born April 4, 1880, daughter of the late Francis and Anna Jones. She was married at Pavo Ga., November 12, 1902 to W.D. Brown, who departed this life March 8, 1959 (this date does not match the date in W.D.'s obit). She is survived by a daughter, Miss Lucille Brown of Thomasville, 3 sons, R. A. Brown of Houston Texas, W.W. Brown of Jesup Ga. and A.J. brown of Columbus Ga.; a sister Mrs. Georgia Horne and a brother, C.E. Jones, both of Greenville, Fla. There are 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brown made her home in Thomasville for the past 22 years, coming here from Morven, Ga. She was a member of the First Baptist church. She lived at 403 Campbell Street. Funeral arrangements in charge of Kirkland-Croy-Hughes Home for Funerals.
