Janette T. Gross, 82, of Waco, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 16, 2014, after suffering from Alzheimer's disease for many years. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service which will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 20, at Connally-Compton followed by burial in Waco Memorial Park.

Janette was born in Waco, Texas, along with her twin sister and best friend, Geneva, to the late Roy and Myrtle Taylor. She was educated in Waco public schools and graduated in 1952 from the original Waco High School. She lived and worked in Waco all her life. In 1978 she began a career with M&M Mars and retired after 21 years.

Janette was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Geneva, Velma, Roy, Billy, and Paul Wayne; husbands, John Quincy Fitch Sr. in 1972 and Robert "Bob" Gross in 1999; a son, Claude Harris; daughter, Kathy Fitch Hawkins; and a granddaughter, Kerri Bartini.

Janette was survived by her sons, Michael Harris and wife, Donna, and Brian Harris and Rita; grandchildren: Sheena Dudik and husband, Jeremy, Tanci Hommel and husband, James, Kristen Bartini, Whitney Bartini, and David Harris; son-in-law, Ken Hawkins; nephews, Larry Brumfield and Carl Clemons, and several other nephews; a niece; and Chester Harris, the father of her sons.
