Big Stone Gap, VA Bonnie Qualls Wells, 91, passed away on Thursday (October 16, 2014) at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born and raised in Scott County, VA and lived most of her life in Big Stone Gap. She was of the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her son, Glen Earl Culbertson; her parents, Lincoln and Vesta (Barnette) Qualls; brothers, Douglas, Curtis, Dewey and Frank Qualls, and two infant brothers; sisters, Sylvia Derrick, Bernice Qualls and three infant sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Loren “Cotton” Wells; a brother, Delmar Qualls and wife, Kathleen of Weber City, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1p.m. on Monday at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donnie Derrick officiating.
Burial will follow in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
