Glynn O’Neil Dasher Sr, 79 of Campbellton, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Marianna Rehab and Nursing. He was born on January 27, 1935 in Belle Glade, Florida to Eldon Ethelridge Dasher and Evelyn Prevatt. He served in the United States Army. Glynn volunteered his time and dedication to many organizations such as, Dixie County Ambulance Services, Palm Beach County Sherriffs Department, Arcade Sherriff Department in Lee County, Volunteer Fire Chief for 15 years, and he volunteered for Dixie County Fire Department. He was a member of the Florida Highway Patrol #1104. In 2013 he was honored for his distinguished military service and volunteerism by Signature Healthcare of North Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eldon and Evelyn Dasher; first wife: Ellen Marie Dasher; sister: JoAnn Montijo; twin brother: Lynn Dasher Sr.; 4 daughters: Elaine Britt, Annette Ramirez, Donna Jean Dasher, Glenda Dell Batten; son: Bobby Dasher; step son: William Eugene Whitaker; grandson: John Glynn Britt. He is survived by his wife of 13 years Bonnie Dasher of Campbellton, Fl; son: Glynn Dasher Jr. and wife Mary Lou of Dowling Park, Fl; daughter: Evelyn Greene of Rossville, Ga; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 2:30p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Obert Funeral Home with Rev. Addis Habbard officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2p.m. EST on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Waters Cemetery in Steinhatchee, Florida.
