Mary Louise Liese, 86, of Coppell, affectionately known as Lou Lou, passed away on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 18, in Restland Coppell Chapel prior to the service which will follow at 11:30 a.m. also in Restland Coppell Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 19, in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Memorial Cemetery.

Mary Louise was born in Lampasas, Texas, to the late Mary Josephine Oney Chafin and James L. Meade Chafin. She graduated from Sinton High School and Southwestern University in Georgetown. She married Ralph Franklin Liese in 1952. After living in various cities in Texas, Kansas, and Illinois, they settled in Arlington, where she lived for 40 years.

Lou Lou was a talented decorator, seamstress, gardener and seasoned traveler. She volunteered for many causes and was a gracious hostess. Lou Lou played tennis at Wimbledon Racquet Club and enjoyed crossword puzzles and solitaire on her back patio. She lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded by her husband; and brothers: James L, Othel, Olin, Harold, Oney and Leo.

Survivors include her children and their families: LaNell, Dick, Julie and Katie Helms, Karol, Danny, Jeffrey, Allison and Kyle Whittaker, Kurt, Gene Ann, Ryan, Jack and Will Liese and Kristi, Pete, Ashley, Taylor and Audrey Haight; and numerous nieces and nephews.
