"Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in the Pettijohn & Crawford Funeral Home here for Miss Blanche Pollock, 86, who died Monday, Dec. 3, in a St. Joseph rest home. The Rev. Donald Bell, First Church of the Nazarene, St. Joseph, officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery here.
Pallbearers were Duane Luna, Gordon Nauman, Edward Young, Elbern Meadows, Bruce VanDeventer, and Edward E. Young.
Miss Pollock, a retired school teacher was born near Mound City and spent the greater part of her life here. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in St. Joseph.
She is survived by two sisters, Miss Bernice Pollock and Mrs. Elta Mae French, both of 1306 South 17th Street, St. Joseph."
