She was born Sept. 14, 1940, at Waldenburg, Arkansas, the daughter of Willard Wilson and Ruth Dennon.
Sue graduated high school in May 1958 and married Billy Ray Cooper on July 27, 1958. They were married for 56 years.
She was a dental assistant for 18 years for Dr. Lowe and Dr. Burnett. She loved reading, bingo and music. She began playing the piano at Greenfield Baptist Church when she was 8 years old and played for 64 years. She also gave numerous piano lessons through the years. She was a member and former president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was in charge of the girls state program for 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Renee Cooper; and a grandson, Gatlin Todd Cooper.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Cooper of the home; three sons, Perry Cooper of Fairfield Bay, Wilson Cooper of Greenfield and Micky Todd Cooper of Harrisburg; two sisters, Evelyn Griffin of Arkadelphia and Lois Johns of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Tyler Cooper, Trevor Cooper, Victoria Cooper, Heather Cooper and Malory Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Eakin Williams and Bentley Luther.
Funeral services were held at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
