The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, Friday, July 30, 1965, Page 31, Col. 5: Mrs. Maude Hall. Mississippi-Born Resident To be Buried Today. Services for Mrs. Maude Aycock Hall will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Mary's cathedral (Episcopal) with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. J. W. Norris Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Hall died at 1:45 yesterday morning at Baptist Hospital, where she was admitted after a stroke Tuesday night. She was 85.
Mrs. Hall was born in Madden, Miss., and lived in Philip, Miss., and in Nashville before moving to Memphis in 1929. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Julian E. Phelan, at the Embassy House, 475 South Perkins. A Communicant of St. Mary's, Mrs. Hall was active in the Dean's Guild there. She also leaves a granddaughter, Mrs. W. B. Day of 3873 South Galloway, and six great-grandchildren.
