After making preparations for his death, William Blair, 74 years of age, died in the Homestead rooms Sunday following a heart attack.
His body was found in bed by the caretaker of the rooming house, on Ninth avenue east, at 12:50 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He had resided there since May 26, 1934, and had complained of being ill for some time.
To take care of his funeral expenses, deceased had deposited money in a local bank. Lanyon, who had known deceased since 1919, told police he had last seen him alive at 11 o'clock Sunday morning.
Surviving are two brothers, John Blair, Craigmyle, and David, at Brinton, Ont.; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton, Mrs. Annie Adams and Mrs. Hannah Kirker, at Brinton; and Mrs. Margaret Cowan, at Brockville, Ont.; three nephews, Archie and Henry Blair, at Craigmyle; and Sam, at Picture Butte, Alta.
