Henry Cobb III (or IV depending on which genealogy you read as the Elder Henry Cobb - often referred to as Sr., was actually the son of Rev. Henry Cobb "Baronet" making him a "Jr". The Elder Henry Cobb was the progenitor of Cobbs in America so I leave this Henry at III) was born in Stonington, CT and married Mary Babcock of Westerly, Rhode Island.

The exact date of Henry's death is unknown, but most assume it was in 1772 or "thereabouts" and that he never left Stonington. He remarried after the death of his wife Mary.

Henry and Mary had at least 10 known children:

1 - Nathan Cobb
2 - Susannah Cobb
3 - Lois Cobb
4 - Mary Cobb
5 - Ebenezer Cobb
6 - Olive Cobb
7 - Elkanah Cobb
8 - Eunice Cobb
9 - Sarah Cobb
10 - Ann Cobb

His gravesite is unknown.
