Robert C. Jacob, Jr., age 91, of Crystal River, FL, died Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Crystal River Health & Rehab in Crystal River. He was born February 5, 1914 in Machipongo, VA to Robert C. and Lillian (Hillman) Jacob, Sr. and came to this area 1 year ago from Largo, FL. Moving to Largo six years ago from Decatur, GA. He was a member and usher for the Clairmont Presbyterian Church in Decatur, GA. He retired as Vice President at the General Motors Training Center in Hapeville, GA. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Jacob in 2003. He is survived by his step-son, Gail Ricketts (Sandy) of Follansbee, West, Virginia; two daughters, Betty Duffey of Crystal River, FL; and Jean C. Dobbs (Marc) of Stone Mountain, GA; 1 sister, Margaret Kuhn of Wilmont, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family requests doantions to the Humane Society of Pinellas County, 3040 State Rd. 590 Clearwater, FL 33759. Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal River, Florida.
