Jamie K. Murphy, 40, of Columbia passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2013. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, with a service at 11 a.m. at the Newman Center in Columbia. He was born on Aug. 3, 1973, in Oxnard, Calif., to William and Virginia Murphy. Jamie is survived by his wife, Tina; and sons Parker and Brady. Jamie was a 1992 graduate of Moberly High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University. He was an auto claims adjuster for American Family Insurance. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching sports and spending time with his family. Jamie was a loving husband and dedicated dad. In addition to his wife and sons; he will be greatly missed by his father, William; four siblings, Michael, Teresa Wallbank (Ashley), Bill, and Maureena Tucker (Kenny); sister-in-law Lori Bland (Adam); and in-laws Kenny and Teresa West. Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Edward D.
