Early Life: Roy was born June 14, 1929, to Elroy M. and Viola Marchant Maxwell. He was a graduate of Morgan High School and University of Utah.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Roy married Donna Mae Heiner, and had two daughters, Mitzi and Lori. Later, they divorced. On November 15, 1974, he married Beva Welch and added two more children, Brent and Cheryl. He served two years in the United States Air Force, stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was a certified public accountant and practiced more than 50 years; he loved his profession. He served on the Quality Review Oversight Committee. He was appointed by the governor to be on the Utah State Board of Accountancy, and served from 1999 to 2007. Roy was a member of the Coast Guard auxiliary, serving as Flotilla Commander, the UACPA, NASBA, AICPA, the USPA, serving as president from 1998 to 1999. He was a past member of the Heber Valley Rotary Club and the Elks Lodge. Roy is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roy Franklin Maxwell, CPA, passed away June 19, 2010, at home, at the age of 81.
Survived By: His wife, Beva; daughters, Mitzi (John) Barber and Lori (Gary) Pemberton; stepchildren, Cheryl Pierce and Brent (Molly) Welch; sister, Gloria (Curtis) Morgan; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
