Mrs. Vivian Lee Woods Scarborough, 79, of Hull, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Scarborough was born in Oglethorpe County on August 31, 1922. She was a daughter of the late John Franklin and Maude Strickland Woods.
Mrs. Scarborough was a homemaker and was of the Baptist denomination. She was the wife of the late Jewell Benjamin Scarborough.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Scarborough was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Robert, Frank and Ed Woods, and two sisters, Mazelle Gearing and Lois Conklin.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Friendship Baptist Church
Survivors include five sons, James Benjamin Scarborough and Charles Clifford Scarborough, both of Hull, Ernest Franklin Scarborough and Johnny William Scarborough, both of Comer, and Kenneth Ray Scarborough, Danielsville; two daughters, Vivian Louise Gueth, Comer, and Martha Ann Adams, Danielsville; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
