FRONTENAC - Jack Lynn Short, 51, of Frontenac, died at 5:25 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Pittsburg Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born Oct. 26, 1954, the son of John "Sam" and Alma (Stotts) Short.

He attended Frontenac schools and graduated from the Frontenac High School with the class of 1972.

On Feb. 14, 1973, he was united in marriage to Janet Howell, they later divorced.

On Dec. 27, 1997, he was married to Robin McCully in Frontenac; she survives him of Pittsburg.

Short was a salesman for Ball Supply and General Machinery. He also worked for Short's Trash Service.

He was a member of the Frontenac United Methodist Church.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Heather Short Threlfall, of Frontenac, and Stephanie Short, of Pittsburg; two step-children, Jill McCully, of Girard, and Marc McCully, of Pittsburg; a brother, Robert "Bob" Short, of Frontenac; a sister, Carol Maransani, of Pittsburg; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Samuel Dustin Short.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at the Friskel Funeral Home with Rev. Verl Strong officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Sunday.
