SCHMIDT, Russell J. age 97, passed away September 27, 2013 in Hamilton, Ohio. He was born to the late Fred and Catherine Schmidt on February 22, 1916. Russ was a volunteer at St. Raphael for 25 years; he loved to bowl and loved the outdoors. He had never been to a doctor, and he lived on a diet of cigars, chips, cookies, and wine. Russ is survived by his daughter-in-law Reba Schmidt; two grandchildren; Michael (Georgean) Schmidt and Jennifer (Donald) Schmidt Everetts; five great grandchildren; Zachary and Kate Schmidt, Caleb, Lucy, and Aiden Everetts; nieces Jackie Schmidt and Karen Kowell; two nephews David and Dale Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Katheryn Schmidt Ilconich and son Dan Schmidt. Russ's visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 10:30am-11:30am at the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum with funeral services to follow.
