STATESBORO -- Mrs. Frances C. Griffin, 76, died Oct. 5 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Carroll County and lived in Alamo for many years before moving to Statesboro 10 years ago. She retired from Wheeler County Bank as executive vice president and was a past member of the Georgia Bankers Association. She was a member of Statesboro First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Betty G. Tankersley of Statesboro; two sons, David L. Griffin of Alamo and Joseph F. Griffin of Millen; five grandchildren, Alan Tankersley and Angie Daughtry, both of Statesboro, Cristina E. Griffin of Virginia, Anna Frances Griffin and Sarah Kathryn Griffin, both of Millen; two stepgrandchildren, Kyle Burke and Michelle Burke, both of Alamo; and three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. today at Hodges-Turner Funeral Home, Statesboro, burial in Bulloch Memorial Gardens. Savannah Now, Oct 1998
