Mr. Benjamin Franklin Waters, 80, of Five Points died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Leon Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Osanippa Cemetery in Lanett.

Mr. Waters is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Smith and Becky Adams, both of Five Points; two sons, Tommy Waters of Wadley, Ala., and Scotty Waters of Five Points; two sisters, Nellie McDonald and Sara Aaron, both of Valley; six grandchildren, Tina Addison, Jonathan Tomlin, Christopher Smith, Tony Ben Waters Jr., Halley Waters and Caitlin Waters; and five great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 24, 1921 in Lee County, Ala., Mr. Waters had retired in 1984 from WestPoint Pepperell's Shawmut Mill. He was a member of Stateline Congregational Christian Church. He was the son of the late Lula Burdell Waters and Jeff Waters.

The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25 and 26, from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
