Clyde was the son of Philip and Malissa Gable. He married Ella Pearl Ticknor 0n June 20, 1906 and they had 2-children:

Clyde was an Osteopathic doctor as was his wife. They moved around the country living in Jackson, Ohio in Guernsey County in 1880 and 1900. In 1930 they owned a home in Chicago, Ill. The house was valued at $12,500.00 in 1930, according to the census of that year, so Dr. Gable must have been doing rather well in Chicago as a doctor. At the time of his death in 1948, Dr. Gable was living in Pinellas Park, Florida.
