Albion-Joel D. Robinson, 43, died on Wednesday, October 01, 2014, at his home in Albion, after fighting a long illness with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 15, 1971, in Waterville, Maine, the son of Horace Robinson and Patricia (Robbins) Fogg. He graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1989 and received his degree in chemical engineering from the University of Maine in Orono.

Joel loved all kinds of New England sports. He played basketball in high school and also coached the University of Maine basketball team in Augusta. He had a love for life, enjoyed listening to music and liked studying world affairs. He spent 15 years living and working in California, but returned to Maine to be near his family. He had many special friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Horace and Pam Robinson of Albion; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Blaine Fogg of Cornville; sisters, Lauri Robinson-Keegan and husband, James, of Ithaca, New York and Amy Norwood and husband, Henry, of Glenview, Illinois; stepsisters, Melinda Pelletier and significant other, Jeff Krantz, of Troy, Sherry Gray of Unity and Allison Tozier and husband, Ryan, of Lee; stepbrothers, Michael Hughes and fiancée, Jennifer Patterson, of Crestview, Florida, Brent Fogg and wife, Ann-Marie, of Bristol and Ryan Fogg and wife, Kelly, of South Weymouth, Massachusetts; grandmothers, Edith Robinson of East Benton and Martha Perkins of Unity; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Kelsey Robinson; and his grandparents, Ernest and Cora Robbins.

A committal will take place at the Puddledock Cemetery.
