EDWARDS, Diana Sue (Miller) Passed into eternal rest, peacefully at home on November 2, 2008, after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. She was attended lovingly by family members and close friends during her final hours. Diana was born December 2, 1945 the daughter of Gordon and Doris Miller. She was a life long resident of Hamilton and never wished to reside anywhere but Hamilton. She graduated from the Talawanda School District. She is survived by her husband of forty three years, William "Del" Edwards, two sons, Darren William (wife Mary), David William (wife Jennifer), seven grandchildren, Hailey, Cody, Kristine, Kathrine, Rachel, Cassady and Cameron Edwards and one great granddaughter, Lillian Sue McCown. She is also survived by her mother Doris Miller, brother, Donald Miller (wife DeVona), and sister, Darlene Kuhl, Sisters-in-laws, Vy Brown, Kathy Brown and Rebecca Edwards. She also leaves many other family members and friends whom she dearly loved. Diana had a successful retail career managing and supervising stores for Fashion Discovery, Fashion Cents and T.J. Max until ill health forced her retirement. She was a person who thoroughly enjoyed working and greeted every day of her life with the expectation of learning and interacting with people. While on vacations or on business trips she would take local area cooking classes to increase her culinary skills. She spent many happy hours in her kitchen perfecting those skills. She traveled many times to New Orleans, La., Biloxi and Tunica, Miss.; she made annual trips to Las Vegas with friends. She went to Hawaii several times and loved the Florida, Panama City Beach area for winter living and enjoyed the local casino riverboats. Diana was extremely grateful for the unconditional love and support of her family and friends during her illness. She inspired all with her grace, dignity and sense of humor. Her courage will be a beacon for all that knew her to remember. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton, OH, to celebrate Diana's life. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday. Private interment will be a Rose Hill Burial Park.
