Harley Clinton Clemens was born on 11 November 1882 in Norborne, Missouri, the son of Benjamin Franklin Clemens (1847-1918) & Emma F. Hogan Clemens (1862-1921). He was married to Mae Jennie Holmbeck (1889-1965) on 14 December 1910 in Luverne, Rock County, MN. They had two daughters and three sons. He worked as a farmer, laborer and a guard for a manufacturer. He died on 8 February 1954 in Minneapolis, MN at the age of 71. He was interred at Sunset Memorial Park.
