MACPHATTER--In Calgary, July 5, Sara Alice Holt, beloved wife of Dr. Neil Macphatter, 338 Fourteenth avenue west.
---
After an illness of less than two months, Mrs. Sara Alice Macphatter, wife of Dr. Neil Macphatter, Calgary physician and president of St. Andrew's Society, passed away at the family residence, 338 Fourteenth avenue west, Thursday.

Mrs. Macphatter, whose maiden name was Sara Holt, was born in Providence, R.I., of English and Scotch parents, and was the daughter of John Holt, who was known throughout American as the "rubber king" until the amalgamation of the rubber trust. Before her marriage she traveled extensively through Great Britain and Europe. One sister, Mrs. Clara Cleeves, of London, England, is the sole survivor of the Holt family. Another sister, before her death, was married to Count Apollini, Italian sculptor.

Besides her husband, deceased leaves one daughter, Jean, who is 13 years of age.

The illness leading up to her death was the first she had experienced since her marriage, and was the outcome of an attack of the 'flu.
