Mrs. Mabel Wagoner Royal, age 71, of North Wilkesboro, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1943 in Wilkes County to Isaac Glenn and Minnie Alice Caudill Wagoner. Mrs. Royal was a member of Union Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Leroy Royal; son, Danny Nathaniel Royal; two great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Joe Royal and wife Sherry, Randy Royal and wife Kaye all of North Wilkesboro, Curtis Royal, Erwin, Tennessee, Frankie Royal of North Wilkesboro; step son, Melvin Royal of North Wilkesboro; two step daughters, Crystal Royal, Virginia Wagoner and husband Troy all of North Wilkesboro; sister, Retha Pike and husband Bill of North Wilkesboro; seventeen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 o'clock Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Brother Billy Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 11:00 until 12:00 o'clock on Saturday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
