Wanda F. Miller passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 83. Born Oct. 9, 1930 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Patnie "Pink" and Edith Campbell Allen. She worked as a waitress in food service for 50 years. She attended the Liberty First Baptist Church. Wanda loved getting her family together and in recent years, watching the cooking channel was one of her favorite pastimes. Survivors include four sons, Dale G. Buck of Wichita, Kan., James "Ricky" Buck of Liberty, Dwight Miller of Liberty, and Mark Thomas Merryman of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Priscilla Ann Jindra of Bel Air, Md.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, J. C. Allen of Indiana; and a sister, Linda Reed of Liberty. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Arvil, Elvern, Charles, and Bernard Allen. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Edward Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. Visitation is today (Wednesday, Sept. 24) from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
