Eulogio "Logie" P. Saldivar, 87, passed away Friday, March 24, 1995.

He was born March 11, 1908 in Los Rodarte, Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico, a son of Jose and Victoriana Perez Saldivar.

He married Josephine C. Gonzales, February 7, 1934 in Durango, Mexico, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 17, 1958. She died November 1, 1978. He married Alice Tames, December 19, 1980 in the Ogden LDS Temple.

He retired from Davis County School System. He lived in Mexico until 1918, he lived in the U.S. until 1927, when the family returned to Mexico because of the Depression. They returned to the U.S. in 1947, and came to Layton, Utah in 1950. He went to school in Santa Ana, California. He was an avid reader, especially the Scriptures. He was an active LDS Church member, and was a missionary from the time of his conversion until his death. He served a full time mission with his wife to Dominican Republic when he was 75 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, of Fruit Heights; four sons, John G. (Eliana) Saldivar, Salt Lake; Joe H. (Charlotte) Salidvar, Chesapeake, VA; Tom (Arlene) Saldivar, Union City, Calif.; Dan (Georgette) Saldivar, Modesto, Calif.; three daughters, Mary (Alan) Haveland, Bothel, WA; Carmen Martinez, and Henry Samora, Roy, Utah; Margarita (Steven) Gore, Phoenix, Arizona; four step-sons, Dennis (Joan) Floto, Riverton; Errett (Lynn) Floto, North Ogden; Bryan (Sandi) Floto, Roy; Neil (Kathy) Floto, Centerville; two step-daughters, Claire (David) Billings, Germany; Lisa Smith, Layton. Also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 1995 at the Farmington 20th Ward, 1885 No. Summerwood Dr. Friends may call at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main St., Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 at the church. Interment, Kaysville Cemetery.
