Faye Irene Koetzle, 95, died Tuesday, July 13, 1993 at Mom and Dad's Nursing Home.
Faye Irene Stroud was born Sept. 24, 1897, in Haddam, Kan., where she grew up and graduated from Haddam High School.She worked in Beatrice, Neb. until her marriage to Herbert Niemann in 1920. The couple lived in Huron until moving to Sioux Falls in 1930. Her husband died in 1941. She worked at J.C. Penney Co., as head of the dress department until retiring in 1954.
She married Herman Koetzle in Sioux Falls in 1955. He died April 11, 1988.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rebeka Lodge and the Retired Federal Employees Association. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Robert (Edna) Furr, Peacham, Vt., and Marilyn Bartel, Sioux Falls; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon today at Miller Funeral Home, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
