Norma Ballard, 68, of Ghent, Ky., died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born July 26, 1937, in Warsaw, Gallatin County, Ky., the daughter of James William Dryden, Sr. and
Ruby Elizabeth Miles Dryden. She was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Carrollton, Ky.

Surviving are her husband, Floran "Booster" Ballard; one son, James Ballard of Ghent; four daughters, Pam Mefford of Campbellsburg, Ky., Linda Bowman of Frankfort, Ky., and Lisa Ballard and Cindy Ballard, both of Ghent; two brothers, Billy Dryden of Warsaw and Jimmy Dryden of Carrollton; one sister, Eva Mae Williamson of Warsaw; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Apostolic Church, with burial in Ghent Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.
