Graveside service for Edith Jean Brown, age 71, will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Evergreen Cemetery. Her brother, Ron Hosey, will be officiating the service. She passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born on June 26, 1943 in Sylacauga to her parents, William Kerney Hosey and Christine Wood Hosey. She is predeceased by her sons, Michael Shawn Lowry of Atlanta and Jay Brannon Lowry of Prattville. She is survived by her daughters, Jodie Deann Ashley (Mike Ashley) of Marietta, SC and Sher Renee Carpenter (Mike Carpenter) of Fayetteville; Grandsons, Colton Ashley of Marietta, SC and Levi Carpenter of Fayetteville; granddaughters, Megan Ashley of Marietta, SC and Hannah Carpenter of Fayetteville; siblings, Billy Hosey (Tommie) of Prattville, Darrell Hosey (Cheryl) of Leeds, and Ron Hosey of Bradenton, FL; Aunt (about same age) who was like a sister, Joyce Braswell (Jim) of Fayetteville. The family sends special thanks to family & friends for their love and care, also special thanks to Lakeside Hospice.
