Allie Mae Martin Pennington Lucas, age 73, died August 12, 1998 at her home in Layton, Utah.

Born January 23, 1925 in Cooks Point, Texas, daughter of Al Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Lewis Martin. Allie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She lived in Hobbs, New Mexico and worked for GTE from 1952-1983. Since then she had been living in Utah to be close to family. She was a loving and giving mother and "granny".

Survived by her daughter, Deborah Lynne Pennington Carrell; special son-in- law, Michael; two granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda Carrell, all of Layton; sister, Ramona Kargl, Midland, Texas.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Oak Woods LDS Ward, 855 East Mutton Hollow Road, where friends may call Saturday, 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Kaysville Cemetery. Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
