MIDDLEPORT —
services for Mrs. Judy Higgins have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc. with Major Foster of the Salvation Army officiating.
Mrs. Higgins, 25, of 2891 Carmen Rd. drowned in the Erie Canal Monday. Her death was ruled a suicide by Niagara County Coroner Willis C. Strickland.
She was born August 16, 1945, in Medina, the daughter of Milo and Myrtle Sterling Van Houten.
Mrs. Higgins was a member of the Gasport Rebekah Lodge 283, the Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Eagles No. 825 of Lockport, the Gasport O.E.S. No. 153 and the Hartland Grange No. 1190.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Cindy.
Friends may call today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc., State St Middleport.
Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
