Nettie Lawson, 82, of Chattanooga, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at her house following an extended illness.
She was known for many years as Granny by many people at Skateworld. She was a mother, sister, mammas and friend. She was a member of the Church of Christ and she loved as Jesus loved unconditionally. Preceded in death by husband, Herbert Lawson, and son, Jerry Lawson.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Joe and Peggy Headrick, Lamar and Hazel Garland, Jerry and Wanda Grant; daughter-in-law Carolyn Lawson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Turner, Ruby Webb, Robbie Jennings and Fannie Tallent; brothers, James and John Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Lane Coulter Chapel.
Visitation: After 5 p.m. today and after 1 p.m. Sunday. Interment: Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
