May 16,1933-Sept 16,1933
Everett Edward Adamson ,81, passed away September 21, 2014 at the Hemingford Community Care Care in Hemingford, Nebraska. He was born May 16, 1933 at Nonpareil, Nebraska to Albert and Alice (Keane) Adamson. He was the oldest of five children. Everett graduated from Crawford High school in 1953. He attended one year at Chadron State College. He married Rosalie Lillian Krejci, the love of his life, on February 28, 1957. To this union ten children were born. Throughout his life he was known as a farmer and mechanic. However, the vocation he enjoyed and loved the most was being a father and, later, grandfather and great-grandfather. His large family was what he gathered the most pleasure from. He was always around to assist and help out in roles such as babysitter, storyteller, and Barbie doll keeper when needed. He was known by many names: daddy, grandpa, grampy, and big papa and he loved them all.He was a man of many questions; always wanting to know "what for do you know cause why?" He knew more about the grandchildren and their schedules, often more than their parents. He loved to have his own children visit daily; while also enjoying the company of others. He spent many days at his son's mechanic shop where he would greet people and help out by answering the phone. Anyone who met him would be welcomed with a "hello" and a smile. He is a man that will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosalie, his parents, daughter, Charlene Gartner, his son, Michael Adamson, son-in-law Alan Harless, great-granddaughter, Maddie Nunez, and sisters, Delma Townsend and Ellen Adamson, as well as his brother-in-law, Wesley Munger.Mass of Christian Burial will be held September 26, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery.
