Eugene Butzin

"Eugene F. Butzin, 79, of 508 S. 10th Street, died Saturday afternoon at Cushing Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 10, 1897, at Leavenworth and was a son of Ferdinand and Martha Zoller Butzin. He was retired from the Kansas State Penitentiary. At Kansas City, Kan., on June 10, 1924, he was married to Pearl Balz. Mrs. Butzin died in 1955. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 55 and was a past president.

He is survived by one son, Eugene F. Butzin Jr., 508 S. 10th Street, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Peggy Hundley, Lansing, and Mark Butzin, 508 South 10th Street.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Muncie Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Cushing Memorial Hospital. Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Chapel after noon today."
