Peter Steele, an old resident of LeMars, died from heart disease while walking along the street near his home. He was a native of Scotland, born 13 Jun 1840. When 16 he emigrated to Canada and 9 years later came to Davenport. He homesteaded in Plymouth Co in 1870 and lived on the place until 4 years ago when he moved to town. He leaves a wife and 9 children.
