Mrs. Sophie JoAnne NORKUS Stopa, of 46 Linley Drive; wife of Fairfield fireman Frank J. Stopa, died at age 56. She was a retired employee of the Dictaphone Corporation and had resided in Trumbull since 1947. She was the daughter of Lithuanian immigrants John & Julia Norkus.
Survivors include her husband Frank, son John J. Stopa of Fairfield, two daughters Diane M. Stopa of Fairfield and Mrs. Linda A. (Carl) Larsen of Edwards, Calif. Two brothers Albert Norkus of Fairfield and John Norkus of Brookfield, three sisters Mrs. Margaret (Paul) Koczy, Mrs. Ann (Stephen) Kyer of Stepney, and Mrs. Beatrice (Steve) Topor of Riverside, CA.
