George A. Osborne Dies at Farm Home In Fredonia Twp.

George Albert Osborne, long time resident of Plymouth county died Thursday, March 22, at his home in Fredonia township after an illness of four years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2 p.m. in the Seney Methodist church. Rev. Gerald Martin will officiate and burial will be in the LeMars city cemetery with the Mauer funeral home in charge.

Mr. Osborne, son of David and Mary (sic--Maria) Osborne, was born at the Osborne homestead east of Seney June 1, 1875, and in early life he moved to a farm in Sioux county. His entire life was spent in Sioux and Plymouth counties.

He was married August 25, 1920, to Agnes Pech Berger. His wife and four children, two grandchildren and one brother, Tom Osborne of Mission Hill, S. D., survive.

The children are Mrs. Ernest Reeves and Mrs. Mindered Mars both of Paullina, Mrs. Lloyd Buss of Ireton and William D. at home. Dennie Mars and Denice (sic--Denise) Buss are the grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother [sic--actually two brothers].
