JESSIE BRYANT
(1936-2014)

Mr. Jessie Lee Bryant, age 77, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday evening, September 20, 2014, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

He was born November 14, 1936, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Arthur Lee and Emily Mae Barker Bryant.

Jessie was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening, listening to Bluegrass music, watching Westerns on tv, caring for his dog Pooch, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gaythel Marie Knipp Bryant; four brothers, Earl Bryant, Bill Bryant, Bobby Bryant, and George Bryant; two sisters, Lorraine Miller and Maxine Boggs; and two infant siblings.

Jessie is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Curtis Lee Bryant and his companion, Gale, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Roger Dale and Lisa Bryant of Lucas, Kentucky; one daughter, Loretta Ann Burchett and her companion, Gayle, of Olive Hill, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and five sisters, Pearline Bledsoe of Grayson, Kentucky, Ruby Dickerson of Oldtown, Kentucky, Rosa Knipp of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Juanita Pruitt of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Patricia Knipp of Grayson, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother David Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Michael Paul Burchett, Eric Mitchel Burchett, Scott Hardin, Wayne Jones, and Josh McGlone will serve as pallbearers.
