Ruth O. Acker, 81, of Martinsburg RD 2, died at 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 1983, at her home, following a lengthy illness.
Services were held on Wednesday at the John C. Bolger Funeral Home, Martinsburg, by the Rev. Jerome VanBrakle. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
She was born July 24, 1901, in Martinsburg RD, the daughter of Reuben S. and Susan M. (Olbert) Kensinger, and Nov. 29, 1922, in Bedford, married Roy E. Acker, who died Aug. 3, 1953. Mrs. Acker was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Martinsburg.
Surviving are a son, Lloyd J. of Martinsburg, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Earl O. of Altoona.
