Roy Elmer Acker of Fredericksburg, retired Clover Creek farmer, died at the Nason Hospital Thursday, Aug. 6, at 5 p.m., after a long illness caused by a brain tumor.
Mr. Acker was born in the Clover Creek section Aug. 12, 1901, the son of Martin and Elizabeth Fouse Acker, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Acker, and one son, Lloyd J. Acker.
He served as fire warden for North Woodbury township for the past six years, and retired from farming some years ago, moving to Fredericksburg.
Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Paul J. Keller, assisted by Rev. Gerald W. Teeter. Interment in Fairview cemetery.
