Larry Rudolph Breeden, 59, of Elkton, passed away on Sept. 18, 2014, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg. A son of Reba Lee Meadows Breeden and the late Elvin R. Breeden, he was born on Dec. 4, 1954, in Harrisonburg.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Jason Breeden.

Larry was employed for over 30 years with Luck Stone, now Vulcan Quarry, near Elkton. He enjoyed outside projects around the home where he tended to the garden and yard work. Larry was a man that was attentive to hard work and dedication to his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Breeden; two daughters, Mindy Breeden Guzman and Stacey L. Breeden and companion, Isaias Sanchez-Ortiz, all of Harrisonburg; stepdaughter, Christina Lam; stepson, Michael Lam; two brothers, David Breeden and wife, Dianne, of Crimora and Wayne Breeden and wife, Evelyn, of Elkton; seven grandchildren, Gabriela Breeden, Justin Breeden, Christopher Breeden, Isaias Breeden, Jasmine Guzman, Thalia Guzman and Caydon Breeden.

Pastor Carter Dean will conduct a graveside service to be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

The will be no formal visitation. Friends are welcome to call at the Breeden home at any time, 540-209-3149.

Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the family to assist with the final expenses.

Arrangements are with Kyger Funeral Home.
