Wife of Francis W. Dupaix
Maurine Foote Dupaix, born February 21, 1931 in Gunnison, Utah, died February 22, 1997, at the age of 66.
She was active in the LDS Church, serving two missions to France and working at the Ogden Temple, and other various callings. She graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City in 1949. She married Francis W. Dupaix in the Salt Lake Temple on March 16, 1951. She was an active member of the Daughters of th Utah Pioneers. She was an attentive and loving mother and wonderful grandmother. She spent her life in service to others.
She is survived by her loving husband, Francis W. Dupaix, and their children, James F. (Wendy) Dupaix, West Jordan; Jeanne (Joseph) Meakin, of Layton; Elizabeth (Owen) Smoot, of West Bountiful; David (Laura) Dupaix, of Roy; Leslie Warren (Laura) Dupaix, of Kaysville; and Paul (Karen) Dupaix, of Salt Lake City; 33 grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and five brothers, Arnold Foote; Lois Andrew; Devon Foote; Iown Jensen; Odell Foote; Lloyd Foote; Melba Morris; Neldon Foote. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Amanda Bowden Foote, a son, Willard Eugene Dupaix and a grandson, Joshua Meakin.
She was a loving and caring person and we will all miss her loving smile, her kind counsel, her hugs and kisses and her wonderful cookies.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 1997 at the Valley View LDS 7th Ward Chapel, 789 Wasatch Drive. Friends and family may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 at the church. Interment Kaysville City Cemetery.
