Carrie Ann (Simmons) Wood Szabla of Canadice, died Saturday, September 13, 2014. I am finally at my permanent home, with my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Carrie was born the daughter of Lewis and Ethel Bryant Simmons in East Avon, NY. She retired from UCB in Rochester, NY. Carrie was a member of the Elim Gospel Church in Lima.

She was predeceased by parents, Lewis and Ethel Simmons, husband, Charles R. Wood, brother, Lowell Simmons. Survived by loving husband Steven P. Szabla; son, Charles D. Wood; brother, Elwood Simmons; sisters, Betty (Jerry) Valentine, Janet (Jim) VanMaaren, Nancy (Vern) Semmel, Sue (Bill) Planert; aunt, Jane Figler; brother-in-law, Tom Szabla, dear friend Brenda Horan; many nieces and nephews.

No prior calling. A celebration of what God has done in my life will be held at the Elim Gospel Church Dalton Rd, Lima on Sept. 18, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. Donations in my memory may be made to the REACH project at Elim Gospel Church, Lima, NY or your favorite charity.

[Obituary information in full or part, Respectfully credited: "Merton H. Kays Funeral Home Inc."]

Carrie WAS NOT deceased in November of 2013, when a memorial was created for her. Its at the very least in bad taste. In my opinion quit insulting as well. It should never be an acceptable practice within Find A Grave.
