Bertha J. Duncan, 90 of Winchester, Va. was a daughter of the late George and Leola Brackman. She was a member of Blue Ridge Grace Brethern Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and deaconess. She married Roy Oscar Duncan on July 30, 1938 in Covington, Va. He died in January, 2008. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Neva Helmintiller, Edith Wilmer and Flo Brackman; and three brothers, Quille, Clate, and Franklin Brackman. She is survived by two daughters, Dreama Bond of Springfield, Mo. and Sharon Roper of Clear Brook, Va.; a son, Rodney Duncan of Newport News, Va; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
