Madie Blackmon Threadgill

Madie Ruth Threadgill, 79, of Cameron, Texas passed from this life Tuesday, September 16, 2014 peacefully at her daughter’s residence in Calvert, Texas.

She was born to the late Hosea and Ivie Mitchell Blackmon on February 14, 1935 in Rockdale, Texas. She was a graduate of Milano High School and baptized at Elliott Baptist Church. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, for being our rock, for her thoughtfulness, for her strong faith, and for being our blue eyed beauty queen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Leon Threadgill, her sons, Gary Allen Conn and Terry Lee Conn, 5 brothers, and 6 sisters.

She is survived by sons, Robert Wayne Conn of Cameron, John Clayton Conn of Ft. Worth, daughters, Donna Gayle Hancock of Calvert, Sharon Denise Crider of Cameron, sister, Sadie Raye Nickels of Cameron, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.

Services for Mrs. Threadgill will be at 10 am Friday, September 19, 2014 at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas with Dale Wells officiating. The interment will be at Rest-Ever Memorial Cemetery in Bryan, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 6-8 pm at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.
