Alice Daphne Hall Pennington, 88, died Sunday, October 9, 2005. Services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Pennington was a native of Sparks, Georgia but made her home in Milledgeville for many years. She was a 1939 graduate of Georgia State College for Women. She was a retired dietitian at Central State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Jerome and Effie Goodman Hall, her husband Charlie Pennington and her sister Jeannette Hall. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milledgeville.
Survivors include a son Charles A. Pennington,Jr. of Sandersville; a daughter Janet Pennington Ferguson and husband Dr. John H. Ferguson of Milledgeville; four granddaughters, Emily Ferguson May of Atlanta, Stephanie Pennington Cassamas of Atlanta, Kimberly Pennington Fleming of Douglasville, and Pamela Pennington Rinker of Augusta; five great-grandchildren, Ellen Daphne Wall, Merritt Wesley Wall, Sam Cassamas, all of Atlanta, Ashton Cecile Rinker and Madison Ann Rinker both of Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pilcher Organ Fund at First Baptist Church of Milledgeville.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. Moores Funeral Home.
