With great sadness we wish to announce the passing of Lynn Taylor,
on Friday, June 11, 2004.
Lynn was born in Winnipeg
on January 12, 1911
and came to Kamloops in 1952.
Lynn was employed at the Karry-All Bookstore for many years, then worked for Wilbur and Nonie Field at their Candy Store, both jobs she really loved. Lynn lived a very independent life in her own apartment but had a long battle with emphysema. She loved to read, and did a great deal of exquisite crochet work. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Helen (George) Signoretti, her granddaughter Lynette Signoretti, her grandson David (Saundra) Signoretti, great granddaughters Sydney and Tyra Signoretti. Lynn is also survived by sister Halia (Edward) Nagurski and their three adult children, Timothy (Pat) Nagurski of Edmonton, Charlette (Roger) Mallette of Ottawa and Kit (Trudy) Nagurski of Kamloops. Lynn also is survived by sister Elsie Soltys of Los Angeles; bothers Gene and Walter Smigelsky of Winnipeg and cousin Anne Harcott of Kamloops. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom she cared about very much. Lynn was the eldest of nine children and was predeceased by brothers Michael Smigelsky of Chicago, William Smigelsky of Winnipeg, sisters Mary Yaremkewich of Winnipeg and Anne Peleshok of Los Angeles.
We owe many thanks to her care giver Iva, who Lynn greatly appreciated and a very special thank-you to
Dr. Yanko who went beyond expectation to care for Lynn, Thank you.
